The educational and recreational trail of dinosaurs on Kamenjak is the right place if you want to spend a day in nature with your little ones and come back full of impressions. Because the life-size dinosaur sculptures put up along this 1.5 kilometre long trail will attract a lot of attention from both children and adults. Next to them you'll find information boards telling the story of these great wonderful creatures that walked this part of the Earth in the Cretaceous period, 100 million years ago.
At the very end of the trail at Cape Grakalovac, there are 12 imprints of sauropods and theropods. Fossils of extinct shellfish and cephalopods have also been found here. If you look out to sea, you will see the islet of Fenoliga. You won’t be able to see them from the shore, but there are as many as 150 footprints of sauropod and theropod dinosaurs on that islet alone.
Travel to the distant past, walk the Dinosaur Trail on Kamenjak, located only 300 metres from the western entrance to this protected area, unique for its nature.
