422 (ex --) SEA, OLIVE GROVES AND VINEYARDS

This 11.9 km long trail is ideal for sea enthusiasts and lovers of Istrian tradition. The starting point is in the little town of Bale that carefully preserves its heritage: the Soardo-Bembo castle, the town hall with its loggia and its priceless churches. From Bale, with the silhouettes of the kažuni, the old stone houses built by the Istrian farmers, left behind your back, we reach Stancija Meneghetti where you will be able to see three significant elements of Istrian heritage: the vineyards, the olive groves and the stone houses.Continuing further to the Adriatic coast and the Mon Perin Campsite, after a half-day’s walk, you will be able to relax beside the sea. There are numerous sites of Roman villas rusticas and medieval churches in the bays of this area, with the Colon Bay being especially known for the discovery of the fossil remains of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals from the Mesozoic period.
